This Abbott Model 1263 Sq. Ft. home was completed in well under 90 days in the middle of winter. This home can be built on your lot for under $117,000.

"As a young single Mom of a two year old daughter, I knew that getting a Construction Loan to build a new home on my land would not be easy, but because of the help I got from Blue Ridge Homes connecting me up with a Mortgage Lender that got the job done, I am already in my new home...furnished with help from the $8,000 First Time Home Buyer's Tax Credit that I recently received. Thank you for everything"....L. Harris

5/14/10-The Certificate of Occupancy was issued last week, dated for 4/29/10. The owners are doing some last minute detailed interior painting, which they chose to do themselves. They will be closing their permanent financing next week and will then be able to move in. They also qualify for the First Time Home Buyers Tax Credit of $8,000 because they will be in their home before the June 30, 2010 deadline.

6/30/10-This Frank Betz design built just outside of Rocky Mount has 12'5" ceilings in the Great Room, vaulted ceilings in the stone front Bedroom and MBath, tray ceilings in the MBR. and 9' ceilings elsewhere. Our framing specialist, Glenn Mustain Construction of Moneta, stick framed this cut up home and intricate roof design in under three weeks...1/28/10-2/15/10...and had to shovel out of three huge snows to get it done.

Log Home Project:

Framing started on this 1800 sq.ft. Log Home on 5/18/09 in Huddleston. Glenn Mustain Construction is responsible for the framing and he has added a number of personal touches to help make a very satisfied buyer. Log homes take a lot of TLC but the final product is certainly worth the effort. The Certificate of Occupancy was issued on 10/22/09.

 Log Home Project- Greene County

10/1/10-The Certificate of Occupancy for this 1900 sf log home in Greene County near Standardsville was issued on 9/10/10. If you followed the progress of the construction of this home on our Current Projects page you know that we did encounter rock in early April when digging out for the basement and had to make adjustments in the exact location of the footers. Of course, this cost us some cycle time but with the help of Glenn Mustain Construction of Moneta, a Partner Company, who is responsible for all framing, roofing, trim, wallboard, caulking, sealing/staining, and painting, we were able to get the CO in less than 6 months from breaking ground.

This particular Model  has a conventionally framed  roof system(2"x10" rafters, 16" OC) with a 32' dormer giving  the upstairs loft and bedroom a minimum ceiling height of 8 feet throughout, while still showcasing the inside beauty of the 12/12  roof pitch.

7/15-Glenn Mustain Construction of Moneta started framing this 1620 sq. ft. customer provided plan over a full walkout basement on 3/15/10. Framing dry-in, including shingles and windows, was completed on 3/24/10. I challenge anyone to show me a better, more knowledgeable builder. The Certificate of Occupancy was obtained from Franklin County on 6/18. Notice the nice hardwood floors by Kurt Van Cleave, owner of Shop-At- Home Floors from Penhook, and how they compliment the maple, glazed kitchen cabinets. Depending on certain finishing choices, you can be in a similar home for around $160,000...or about $98.00 a sq. ft.

 Boones Mill-Franklin County

5/25/11-The Certificate of Occupancy was issued on 3/23/11 for this 1680 total s.f. log home in Franklin County. A "wall of windows" and minimal wallboard in the main living areas were two priorities for this homeowner and she got them both. Most of the interior walls on the 1st and 2nd floors got interior log siding and the ceilings got 1"x6" T&G pine v-groove boards. Finished out with  dark oak floors and hickory cabinets, it definitely gives you that all wood "log cabin" feel when you walk in the door. Glenn Mustain Construction, our Partner Company, is again responsible for all the detailed craftmanship needed to complete this job and fulfill a "dream come true" for its owner.

 Bedford County-  Log Home

2/4/11-The Certificate of Occupancy was issued on 12/20/10 for this 2500+ s.f. log home located near Montvale. Glenn Mustain Construction of Moneta did a beautiful job inside and outside putting this home together for us. There is a tremendous amount of detail and quality workmanship involved in finishing this home and Glenn and his guys deserve all the credit for doing a great job. It has 3 bedrooms and 31/2 bathrooms with tile floors in the partially finished basement. There are over 1150 s.f. of decks and covered porch area to help the owners enjoy the surrounding mountain views. The owners chose to go with a 6x8 Stockade log, round on the outside and flat on the inside. They also chose to go with a heavy timber built-up roof design which allows the heavy beams and tongue and groove decking to create a spectacular cathedral ceiling to be enjoyed throughout their whole open floor plan.
