Southland Log Home Project:
2/24/10...Roger Payne Backhoe Service has almost completed this 320 foot double switchback driveway that will give us access to the house site to begin construction on a new Southland Log Home near Standardsville (just North of Charlottesville). The home will be similar to the one we recently completed in Huddleston. Roger will also install an engineered "drip" septic system, Bad weather has slowed progress but excavation and all erosion control measures should be complete next week allowing for basement construction to begin the first week in March. We will be showing weekly progress so look for us again.

Southland Log Home Project:
Framing started on this Southland Log Home on 5/18/09 in Huddleston. Glenn Mustain Construction is responsible for the framing and he has added a number of personal touches to help make a very satisfied buyer. Log homes take a lot of TLC but the final product is certainly worth the effort. The Certificate of Occupancy was issued on 10/22/09.

2/11-After a week of snow and bitter cold and winds, snow has been shoveled off and framing will resume tomorrrow on this Franklin County home. It is beginning to take shape as you can identify the 12' living room ceiling, bedroom cathedral ceiling, MBdrm tray ceiling, and MBath vaulted ceiling.
2/24-In spight of the 42 inches of snow we have received since beginning this project. Glenn Mustain Construction has this home dried-in and ready for rough-in inspections the first of next week, roughly 30 days after the framing started.
