Log Home-Pittsylvania County

8/11/11-Glenn Mustain Construction is responsible for the framing, roofing, trim, wallboard, caulking/staining and painting on this 1512 s.f. two story Cape Cod style home. The owner chose the 6"x8" Stockade style logs, round on the outside and inside. The first floor features 10 ft ceilings in the MBR/Bath and Kitchen and 19 ft sloped ceilings in the 12'x24' Great Room. Two additional bedrooms and a bathroom upstairs have 9' ceilings. All painting, staining, sealing are complete and the H/W floors were completed 8/6. Cabinets are in and the plumbing was completed today. Electrical trim out will be completed Saturday 8/13.

Botetourt County Log Home Addition

7/30/11-Glenn Mustain Construction of Moneta started framing this 22'x30' Log Home addition on 5/26. The owner chose the 6"x12" Dovetail V-Groove log profile which is flat on both the exterior and interior for a more contemporary look. All 660 s.f. is open to a heavy timber roof system that accents the heavy timber beams and T&G decking of the 24 ft. cathedral ceiling and "wall of windows". The homeowner's future plans call for the existing home siding to be replaced with log siding. Final inspection is set for 8/1/11.

Roanoke County Log Home

8/11/11-Footers were dug 7/18 on this 2740 sf two story homeowner custom designed log home on a 1476 sf unfinished basement in Roanoke County. The basement floor was poured 8/1 after completion of 8 different inspections...Glenn Mustain Construction of Moneta started framing the back wall the next day. This is progress as of today. With good weather, it should be dried-in by next Friday 8/19.
